Guidelines
Effective January 1, 2026, the Skylar Henkes Foundation will no longer operate on quarterly grant cycles. Grant applications will be accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.
Submitting documentation of an insurance denial with your application strengthens consideration for funding.
Eligible beneficiaries may be awarded funding for one grant per year with a value exceeding $1,000.
Funding may cover partial or full cost of the requested item, depending on available resources.
Items already purchased prior to application submission are typically not eligible for reimbursement.
Grant awards are determined based on available funds and assessed need. Requests addressing medical necessity are prioritized over those for recreational purposes.
